Subject: DML: Auto trans band adjustment question

Second try for this one. Does anyone have a 98 FSM they can look up the
procedure for adjusting the bands in the auto tranny behind a 5.2L? I need
to know the location of the adjustment bolts as well as size (one is 8 point
from what I've been told), and exactly how the adjustment is performed. I've
heard you tighten them down to a specific torque, then back off a certain
number of turns.
Someone asked the last time I posted if adjusting the bands was necessary.
Per my owners manual, yes. Schedule A lists the first adjustment at 75K
miles. Schedule B lists doing it every 12K miles. Since I'm at 34K and I
don't baby the truck, I felt now would be a good time to do the work.
Thank you in advance,
John
