Try BackIce Defender from Network Ice. Keeps a lot of the "unwanted" people
out of your system/server. (Not recommended for Corporate use...but for the
average home user with either DSL or Cable access, it's well worth the $40.
(And it's rated the #1 personal firewall.)

Just read a rticle in the paper about the insecurity of cable access.
Supposedly when your computer is on you are connected and it doesn't take
much of a hacker to get into your computer. Have you had any problems with
this ? This was the second time I had heard it but some hot shot got broke
into and then it all came out. I was considering one but not likely now ???
