>>I agree, I've got 10.5 to 1, no detonation and verified by a knock
sensor on
92 oct. My buddy has the same comp.,no problems. The throttle response is

much better than the stock comp. Hughes has a broad selection of chrysler

cams for the magnum. If I were you, I'd strongly consider going with the
M1,10to1 comp. and a bigger cam. You will love it. The m1 just loves that

comp and cubes. My buddy just ran a 12.85 @103 with this combo.(Hughes
stage
2 @ heads). If you must stay with the stocker than go with one of the
smaller
cams that matches up with the intake well. The M1 is a smashing good buy
at
$250. Why mess with the 13s when you can play in the 12s.<<

you're making my mouth water =)

I found a cam that will suit my needs quite nicely. It's the Crane cam
for Magnum engines p# 704121. From what I've been told, you can
definitely feel the difference, and hear the difference at idle, but
driveability isn't compromised. Good street/strip cam (at least that's
what a couple people are tellin me)
As far as the M1 and stuff... I'm on a pretty tight budget. I've got 5
grand to mess with. I spent 1200 on the motor with all the electronics
and stuff (with an alternator and AC compressor). I'm gonna definitely
need a tranny, rear end, exhaust system, and pay the guy who's installin'
it. I'm tryin' to keep go-fast goodies to a minimum, but still gettin'
what I can with the cash I have. Man, I WANT some Hughes heads and an
M1... the 12's would just plain rule!
Now, about the CR... which pistons can I get that can up my CR to 10:1 in
a magnum? =)
