This is what I was planning. A crate 360 pushing out 380HP. $3500 right
there. Now from what I heard they rate these motors with carbs on them. I
read that someone who fuel injected a 426 hemi brought HP from 610 up to 705
HP. So I figure if I put MPI on the crate motor I should be able to get 420
HP on it. That would mean I'd have to buy a magnum M1 intake, about $250.
Now don't forget fellas that I have a 10PSI Powerdyne supercharger in my
stable. It gave me a 50% increase of HP on my otherwise fairly stock V6. 420
plus 50 percent comes out to 630 HP. I think a conservative estimate of 580
to 600 horsepower is completely feasible. Powerdyne superchargers run about
$2300.
Crate 360: $3500
M1 MPI manifold: $ 250
Powerdyne SC $2300

Total Price: $6050
OK so my estimate of 5K was a little low, but I think 6K isn't all that bad
either. And considering I already HAVE the S/C, I'm looking at 4 grand for
the motor. Of course everything else isn't included in this price, like
wiring harness, tranny, rearend and such.
