The ole' Dak now has a broken off shock bolt on the passenger's side lower
control arm where the shock attaches to the control arm. I had a danglin'
Bilstein shock........not good. So now I have to go get either the broken
bolt torched out or try to find a lower control arm for my Dak. Dealer wants
$315 for a new lower control arm and I cannot even think about paying that.
I have a 'date' with a good friend of the family who will assess the damage
at 4 tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully he will be able to torch it out or fab up
a new mount. If not, I hope I can round up a control arm from a local bone
yard cheap. He is going to also be the one who will replace the outer
passenger's side CV Boot. I bought an outer cv boot kit for $20. This Dak is
getting to be alittle tooooo expensive.....almost :)
