Exactly my setup. (except grounding it to the actual chassis)
4 guage stinger wire from the battery to a distribution block. 2-8 gauge
wires going out the block into both my amps. 60 amp fuse 6" away from the
batter.

4-gauge ground into another distribution block. (it's right under the cargo
tray. When I uninstalled the T-form, I found i could drill thru that and
ground it there. dude. All of my other amps haven't been frying with the
same ground (PG zx500, Lanzar opti-50c, MTX 2300x) It's just with the 4-12"
PPI subs. My manager at work things I have too low an impedance going to the
amp, so when I get the amp back. I'm going to parrallel 2-8 ohm subs a side
and get 2 ohms per channel (not bridged)

<< Another quick tip on the ground wire issue....it's best to route all the
system ground wires to a distribution block, and then one singular wire to
go
to the frame. If you have several ground points on the frame you can get
ground loops between components, and you will get audible noise through the
speakers. On my personal system everything is grounded to the same point, I
even rewired my radio straight to the battery, to bring potential noise
 problems to a minimum. >>
