    Thanks for the compliment. Yes, the airhat is standard on (I
believe) '97-'99. I did remove the rubber flap by the radiator and
that is where my FIPK gets most of the fresh air from (at least until
I get the new hood on).
    I would recommend that you try something to get rid of the open air
filter. As you have probably read on my pages, I am not a big fan of
them now. I can really tell the difference between the two and there is
no extra noise from the FIPK ... except for the loud roar under WOT!
