That seems pretty damn bad. My first few tankfulls I was getting upper 15's
for mostly city driving. I've got a little over 3000 miles now and I'm getting
mid 16's for city driving. Mine's a 2000 CC 4X4 5 speed with 3:55's. I'd say
maybe it's your driving habits but I drive the bejeezus outa mine :-) so it
can't be that!
Maybe you should have the dealer look at it.

Well... I have now had my new Dakota 4x4 regular cab for over 2 weeks and I
must say... the gas mileage SUCKS!!!! It now has 400+ miles on it and the
best I can get is 12 mpg average. Most of my driving is in town with a
little bit of highway driving on the weekend. I can't beleive I am getting
this bad of gas mileage. Hopefully this is just because its probably not
broken in yet... but still... I should get better. Any of you others with
4.7 v8s get this kind of gas mileage when you first got your dakota? Is
this abnormally bad? Or is this what I should expect? Thanks.
