Torque, and more than plenty of it. I had a similar run-in a year or so ago
(mind you my truck was a lot slower than it is now ;-) ) had my butt handed
to me by an F-250 powerstroke from 90mph, when I hit O/D he left me like I
threw it in reverse.
And with the addition of turbo(s) it's real easy to get a lot of power, my
dad has an '88 F-350 crew cab 4x4 w/ Banks turbo'ed international 5sp. A
few years ago (before the 200k miles and loss of compression) I could easily
smoke the hides in 1st and 2nd, and bark 3rd and 4th gears. Made it VERY
fun to mess with 5.dohs in town.
