U could check the out put bearing in the tranny by jackin rearend up and
puttin in nuetral and take the drive shaft and shake it to see for any play,
mine, i have a 92 and it needs to be replaced, so i went to the dealer for
the part but bearing is part of the tail shaft housing so i would have to buy
the whole unit and they quoted 400 bucks, then a tranny joint said they would
do it for 250-300 parts and labor. i Dont get a whinning noise but a
vibration at 65-75mph. Good luck
