Welcome to the club of Intense Blue owners :) I thought the same thing
about my horns, so I opted to install a pair of PepBoys specials. They
are loud, but the tone isn't much better than stock and I am going to
switch them out very soon.
In my on-line research of air horns, I found that my current air horns
are in the 810 Hz range and are app. 120 decibels. I am looking
at a set of air horns (not sure if I want to go with the tank or not) that
can be found at http://www.wolo-mfg.com/truck.htm They have an
excellent selection of air horns (including Dixie) and they list Hz &
decibels. Get a nice set of 120 Decibels / 235Hz if you want reactions ;-)
