I have the exact same problem. I pointed it out to the
dealer when I went in for a 1,000-mile service. The
said they had to order a "controller" and it was a
simple remove-and-replace.
Two weeks later I called to see if the part was in and
they had no record of ordering it. They said they
would re-order it.
After another two weeks I went back and again they had
no record of it being ordered. This time I talked with
a different service writer who said the controller
didn't need to be replaced, it needed to be
re-programmed. They would have to fiddle around with
it and I ought to leave the truck for a day.

I didn't go back.

If you find a correct answer to the problem, I'd like
to hear it.
