Without putting it on a scanner, the only areas that I can think of to check
are the injectors and wires/plugs/distributor/coil.

No, the details that I've seen on the Jet (diy-efi list) indicate that
timing is advanced a bit and air/fuel map are modified (mostly at WOT).
