Avoid the water box at all costs with street tires. If you have to drive
through water, go very slow. Do a burnout on dry pavement to get the tires hot
and to clean them off. Watch the tree before your up to bat. See how many
amber lights go off before green. You want to drop and plant on the last amber,
not wait for the green to light. If automatic, stage, press your brake hard,
get the RPMs up in gear, whatever doesn't get you wheelspin on brake release.
When last amber light lights , let off the brake, don't mash the gas yet, let
the rear end hook up then mash it. Hold it there till you pass the finish line.

Practice makes perfect.
