I don't quite agree 100%. My father's '00 Durango clocks pretty close
(within .25 MPG) to the calculator method for a full tank. The
"instantaneous" measurement is pretty useless, IMO - more for
entertainment. Pull in relatively close behind a big truck on the
highway and see what happens :). The DTE measurement is similarly
unreliable; we watched it read 14 miles for about 10 miles.
The "tank overall" MPG reading is pretty close to reality. The others,
take with a big grain of salt.
