Cool, I'm getting preached to. It's called common courtesy. I don't know
where your from, but in Texas where I'm from they actually have signs
saying slower traffic keep right and left lane for passing only. No I
don't race on the highway to see what my top speed is, sorry more mature
than that, but have done it on open clear roads, though. I do drive 10 to
15 above the speed limit pretty mutch all the time unless there is a cop
around.. Around there parts, the cops won't bother you unless your doing
ten over. Five over is a good safe speed, but I've been pulled over twice
for doing 12 over, which comprises the two tickets I've ever had. You want
to call that racing, so be it. Won't bother me. I don't drive like a
maniac. I've only had one wreck in all my driving (out of a race
car). That was in my Dak, not too long ago. That was the Dak's fault for
shitty brakes, and mine for daydreaming and not watching the Chebbie in
front of me. Been in a roll over in a race car once, that was pretty
cool. Been into a wall once, even ran head on into a tire barrier
once. In a race car, not a street car. I probably have more high speed
driving experience than the next guy, but I still don't race at those high
speeds on the road, except if it's on an open clear road. Raced a '90s
Stang the other day. Little V6 in the Dak petered out at 110, but I was a
nose ahead of the stang till the power dropped off. It's completely stock
btw, not even a K&N.

Pretty good speech. I hope other folks read it and run it through their
brain boxes. Driving fast is second nature to me, not something I do on
purpose to see if I can do it. I know I can do it. Look in the archives
for my intro, if you can't find it, let me know and I'll post it again.

So back to which lane to drive in. Speed limit and slower traffic stays in
the right hand lane. If your driving along in the left lane and the right
lane is clear, by all means more your butt over. It's courtesy. If a car
is coming onto the highway from an on-ramp, move your butt over to the left
to give room, if it's clear. Then move your butt back over to the right
lane when it clears. Keep the left lane open for passers and those that
like to go a little faster than the next car. It's common knowledge where
I'm from. If it's taboo to you, pull up a chair and start reading this
email from the beginning.

Thanks for the lecture bud. You mean well. Hope others get something from
both our emails.
