On my 2000, If you want to remove the whole assembly, to gain access to the
corners you need to pull the rubber trim betwween the fender and grill, it
stays on the head light assy. Then there are three 10 or 12mm (socket size)
bolts that attach it, two in the front and one accesable from the rear. If
you look you will see them. Also there is a ball and socket joint that needs
to be popped apart in the top outer corner, once everything else is loose,
you will be able to look in behind and see it, I just wrapped a big flat
blade screw driver with duct tape and it did not scratch anything. You don't
need the torx heads those are for adjustment. The one between the head light
and turn signal does connect the headlight and turn signal and I think you
may be able to remove just the headlight with this screw but am not sure.
