In my 2000 SLT I noticed the AC was on in vent mode, I thought it was messed
up, but the owners manuals says that the AC can run in any position except
"heat" (arrow at your feet) and "heat and defrost" and off. I am not looking
in the book right now so I could be wrong but the AC can and does come on in
places you think it won't. I new it came on in defrost but was surprised by
the other positions.
