Brian,
This was in Nov./Dec. of last year. So only about 6 months ago. When did
you have yours done? JBA was real good about taking care of it, but it did
sorta aggrivate me that I had been telling them "5-speed", "5-speed", the
whole time. Then finally after receiving the pipe and calling them to
report the problem, get told the pipe wasn't designed to fit a manual
tranny.

Yes, the time and constant shipping was a pain, but JBA did cover the cost
of having the pipe modified. It just wasn't install quite right. If I
hadn't damaged my factory pipe trying to get it off, I would have just sent
back the y-pipe and stayed with the stock one. But at that point, I didn't
have a choice.
Rich

hey Rich... did you ever talk to JBA about this?
when I called 'em they told me that when they developed the part, 5-spd
Dakotas were considered "special order" trucks (is it time to start that
again??) I have thought about switching to Edelbrock or Mopar, but... damn
thats alot of time/money invested!
