Well, the final verdict is out from Dodge.

This is silly because it still pings, the timing is still at close to 45
degrees, and they charged me $69.00 for something that is still covered
under emissions warranty!
Maxwell Dodge is starting to piss me off. I've left a message for Alan at
the Service Desk so we'll see what happens tomorrow.
