If he was not insured, you're paying for the repair (and the rest of us)
via uninsured insurance. This could make your rates go up, check with
your agent. They might not want to go after the guy for less that
$1,500, but they sure will increase your rate. To keep your rate from
going up you might have to take him to small claims court. Call the
County Courthouse and ask the Civil Circuit Clerk to run this guys name -
he might be a big deadbeat and have a lot of cases against him. If he
is, well, that could make getting your money harder. And yes, at least
in MO filing a false police report is a misdemeanor and not having
insurance is an offense too. Talk to your insurance agent and stay on
