Five star is a load of BS...... all it means is that the dealer can organize.
We are going through the process of becoming 5 star right now where I work and
it is a huge pain. You have to make up lists of how you do everything, and
everything has to be neat and tidy. It has nothing to do with the ability of
the shop.... except that at least 3 techs have to be gold certified. There's
no requirement to have a front end specialist either, we didn't have one for
about a year... had to send all alignments and stuff to an outside shop.
