end of warranty

Well, I dropped my baby off a couple hours ago for her last warranty
visit. (at 35,910 miles- moving on Sunday, so by Monday the warranty
will be gone) I spoke to a different service advisor than usual, and
I dunno about this guy.
I told him it was pinging a bit, and he said "they all do" ...fine, I
told him it didn't use to, and he said "huh...they all do". I told
him I just wanted them to look at it. I asked for them to check the
ball joints, since I know so many people have had trouble with
theirs, and he said that only the 4x4's have had problems.
Is it too much to expect that they could just check something if I
ask?!
Then he annoyed me, because I asked for a ride home; usually they
give you a credit slip, and call a cab. This guy told me to pay the
cab, and bring a receipt to get reimbursed. The cabdriver thought it
was strange too.
