Looking at the '00 FSM it states that the 4.7L thermo is
closed below 195F. This may seem high, but read on.
BUT, it only blocks 50% of the flow to the radiator
when closed. I don't think many thermos work this
way which results in more accurate regulation
according to the FSM.
The 50% cutoff is symmetric........................

That's a truck load of info, more then I thought I get. I think
I'll just leave the T-stat alone for now. There's plenty of other
things to play with for now.
