That is absolutely correct, if he demands OEM parts they must do it. The
insurance company shouldn't be looking for parts anyway, it should be the
bodyshop that is doing the work. That's another thing, he does not have to take
it to the bodyshop that the insurance company suggests either. You can go to
any bodyshop you want to. They may only give you enough for the cheapest quote,
but you don't have to go to the cheapest place if you feel more comfortable
going somewhere else. I don't know what laws he could use, but I do know that
is a fact. In the state of Texas anyway.
