I'll chime in here with the cold weather perspective: If your dak has
been sitting for a long time (like overnight), and the windshield is all
frosted over, be sure to direct the defroster air to the windshield
immediately after starting the truck. This will gradually warm the
glass and avoid cracking. I've seen fully warmed up cars that had the
fan off, then the guy gets in, cranks the now fully heated air to the
still frosted windshield, and blammo! Crack-o-rama
