was Supercharger update now: Transmission

I've got 42,000 and about 300 passes on the truck so far and everything is
still together. I've run it at seven different tracks and always have got my
best short times (1/4 times too) at Cecil County, but they've never been that
good. I think if I put a real set of slicks on the thing, dumped the clutch
at 3500 or so, it would leave real hard, then I'd probably be doing a tranny.
But, after thinking about it, I guess your right, automatics are for girls!

<< Don't do it!!!!! Noooo!!, go with a stickier tire, like a true "slick", or
you may try lowering your launch RPM??? maybe that would help your 60'??
You probably have tried these already!!
Keep the 5spd!! Oh, yea, how many miles on the clutch???? maybe its a
 clutch problem????
Best 60' for me was 1.90, and consistently 1.93-1.98 range, has alot to do
with the track I guess also???

Richmond on Sat., conditions were poor, temp was 95, and about 75% humidity

is the second time I have raced under these extreme weather conditions,
 both
time I ran about .2 slower. The truck just doesn't like the real hot
 temps!!
  Short times were 1.95.

Thanks, I wish I could get the thing to leave. My best sixty foot ever is a

1.976 and that was a fluke. Even with the blower, I've only got one other
run under 2.0 and that was a 1.986. I hate to even think this, but I'm
 considering an automatic.
