Andy
JC Whiteny currently has Class III Hidden Hitches on sale for $94.95. All
Class III/IV hitches will be the 2" square size. I would have bought another
Class III Hidden Hitch is a heartbeat when my Dak was rear ended, but the
body shop put on a more expensive Class IV Reese. Just go to a search engine
online and type in 'hitch' or 'Class III Hitch' or even 'towing hitch', as
you shouldnt pay $150 for a hitch....in my opinion that is very expensive.
As far as the wiring goes, yes you can get a plug in kit for about $20 made
by Valley, Hoppy, or Drawtite which simply plugs into your rear 2 tail-lite
connections and requires NO cutting, splicing, or soldering. I originally
bought my Hidden Hitch for $86 and recently paid a mere $15 for the wiring
kit. I use a 4 flat pole type of trailer wiring plug because the 3 most
common items I tow with have the 4 flat pole female plug on them. Get what
plug you want and will use the most, but they do sell all the the plug
adapters for anytype of plug. If you really want to save some money, try
calling a few local junk yards where the Dak was totaled out due to front
end damage. Even try looking in your local classifieds auto parts section.
Good Luck.
