i just changed the diff oil in my 98 in the rear as well and i was told by
the guy at the parts store where i bought the diff gasket that when putting
the silicone on, you have to let it sit for about 10 or 15 minutes to setup,
then stick things together, i put blue silicone on both sides of the gasket
as well.
