As a heat shield? Yes to a point. For water and mud, well I wish you luck
with that. Water is known to go where it wants to go. I'm working on a heat
shield for my '00 4.7. (see photo's on web page) The shield seems to help
keep the hot air from the blowing on the K&N filter from the fan. Today I'm
putting a temp prob in the pipe right at the TB and will compare that reading
to the over head console temp., First I'm putting the prob by the O/H temp
prob to compare readings. I'll let you know What I find!!!!
