The latest Acura 3.2CL is now using the 4.43:1 gears. A spin of from Honda.
Help it to 0-60 in 6.70 seconds (1/4 mile in 15.14 seconds). The motor was
rated at 260HP @ 6100 & no torque at 232lbs. But the compression is a cool
10.5:1, while running only 91 octane.
Total vehicle weight is 3525 pounds. Another car to watch out for. It will
be close for the stock Dakotas.

I thought the same thing the first time I saw some of those diff gear
numbers...i thought holy crap!
But you are still right as a generalization. If you look at alot of the
Japanese cars they do have a lower final drive than most American cars. The
two Mazdas I had (which were excellent cars btw) were crankin about 3600 rpm
at 80. My Dak is turning about 2400 at 80. Big diff... (pun intended..)

You are right after reviewing some of the Japanese cars the
gears are taller. Thanks for the feedback,

Steve, you can't just look at the gear size of just the rear-end. The final
drive gear ratio is what matters. If the Muscrat is running a 3.08:1 rear
gear
