Ron, I think he's going to say pretty much anything you do is
embarassing. This isn't personal at all. I'm going to guess he's
somewhere between 12 and 16? That's just how kids are (I know, I was
one not too long ago). I used to get embarassed when my father would
turn up "his" music (for example, Meat Loaf, Steve Miller Band, The
Grateful Dead, Pink Floyd, The Who, etc.) - now I'm buying up those CDs
faster than he is.

It's a phase, it'll pass. I commend you for looking out for those who
are less observant of their surroundings than they should be. In the
meantime, your son has options: deal with it, walk (or ride a bike),
don't go with you anywhere in your truck, and bum rides from other
people.
