The reason that i had my hooks installed poking through the fascia is this:
1) The mopar kit is something like $250 from my dealer. (Can. $$$)
2) The hooks that i bought were under 50 bucks.
3) The install was by a friend's brother, and cost me nothing except a
future favour.
4) Personally, i don't like the fact that the Mopar hooks are so low, it
would really suck if you got stuck in the mud, and had to reach way down in
the mud and struggle to get a strap on the hook. Or if your strap fell off
in the mud and had to be re-attached. You get the idea.
5) I just plain like the look of the chrome hooks mounted through the
bumper. Don't you Andy? :)
