I can tell you right now the 2000 model does not have a center disconnect for
the front axle. There is no vacuum module on it, and I had the whole front
jacked up and turned the tires and the front driveshaft and everything turns.
The only disconnect on the 2000 is in the transfer case. It's my understanding
that the front axle in the 2000 is a little different than what was put in on
the previous gen III's, but I don't know what the difference is. Maybe
someone out there knows?

They have a center disconnect system. I asked warn about it and they said
that they don't make a conversion kit for them. I own a gen II but I am sure
it is the same for the gen III's.

Correct me if I'm wrong (I don't think I am though) but there are no hubs in
the Dakota 4 wheel drive system, the front axle is always turning.
