Ron, sorry I just read your response and then mine and mine kinda sounded like
I had copped an attitude. I certainly didn't!! Sorry about that.
Is your truck a Gen II? And did they have solid front axles?? Man I wish I
had a solid front axle on mine... it would make a number of things much
easier..

Oh, ok. That is what is in the gen II's. Really I don't know then what the
genIII's have. I just figured that they didn't change the setup through the
years but I guess they did. Thanks for the correction.

I can tell you right now the 2000 model does not have a center disconnect
for
the front axle. There is no vacuum module on it, and I had the whole front
jacked up and turned the tires and the front driveshaft and everything
turns.
The only disconnect on the 2000 is in the transfer case. It's my
understanding
that the front axle in the 2000 is a little different than what was put in
on
the previous gen III's, but I don't know what the difference is. Maybe
someone out there knows?
