Possbile offroad group buy!

OK, I finally had a chance to get over to my decent local dealer, Sam
Dell Dodge in Syracuse, NY. I asked about Mopar tow hooks and a full
set of skidplates for my '99.

Hooks: $165
Plates: $160.25 ($62, $58.50, $39.75 for the front axle/diff,
t-case/tranny and fuel tank...not sure which price goes with which)

Total: $325.25

OUCH! So I asked about a group buy. If I can get a number of people
(he didn't have a specific number, but I think if I can get 5 additional
people we'll be good to go), we can get these prices:

Hooks: $123.75
Plates: $120.19 ($46.50, $43.88, $29.81)

Total: $243.94

This works out (if my math is right) to be a 30% discount. We barely
paying more than dealer cost on this (dealer cost is $113, $42.25, $38
and $23.75)! All prices do not include tax, shipping, etc. These are
solid steel plates. I don't know if they'll work on a 2000, due to the
changes for the rack & pinion steering. I should have asked right then,
but it slipped my mind and I'm going on vacation tomorrow, so I can't
ask for a week. Anyone know offhand?

Please email me ==OFF LIST== if you are interested; I need to
unsubscribe for a week and will miss any response that isn't sent
directly to my email address.
