I had my first opportunity yesterday to try out a full slam on the brakes...
some idiot shot out of McDonald's from in front of a stopped city bus, so
he (and I) had zero visibility... and he pulled out of the "enter only"
driveway to boot! Had I been any closer I would have broadsided him. Anyway,
I left a nice skid mark (on the street only, ha ha!), but I guess I can
assume that only the front wheels skidded and not my nice anti-lock rear
wheels. I suppose they help once the fronts start skidding, but all four
sure would be nice.
