What'd you do? Lane change w/o a signal? If it's points on your
license or counts as a moving violation, the insurance company will
probably hit you. It may not be worth your time/money to fight a $75
ticket for what they'll charge you on insurance. If you haven't taken
one of those 5-hour defensive driving courses in the last 3 years, bite
the bullet, pay the fine, take the class (usually under $50) and you'll
probably see your rates drop overall.
