       all 3 have seperate blocks. But the 318 and 340 share main journal
diameters so are actually more related. For years DC had a 318 block
available that was also to be used for the replacement for the 340's..Just
had to bore it LOTS to use the rest of the parts.
       If you have access to a very reasonable priced BB. I'd say to use
it.. Go through the extra effort.. and ENJOY using brut force.
