Well that's a dumb place for them.
All I did on mine was purchase four "Hide-Away" hooks and mounted them on
the top/side of the bed (triple wall). Then, used Grade-8 bolts with
aircraft nuts for the actual mounting and they hold VERY well. (And they're
chrome to boot so they add an instant 50HP.) ;)
