Shouldn't it do better

For comparison purposes, I have a friend who has a '98 Dakota RC 318, 5sp,
3:92 SG (stock)
whose best is 16.3@85 mph with wheel spin at St. Thomas Dragway in Ont. My
'97 first ran
around 16.7-16.8 with cat-bak, K&N drop-in and all seasons. It looks like
that your figures
are in the ballpark ... finding the throttle and gear shift points will
probably improve on it
by one to two tenths.
