There is a slight vacuum from the airhat tube to the crankcase
breather...but nothing substantial.
Not listed...go figure. ;)

The Crankcase Ventilation system (driver's side valve cover) does the same
thing as a
conventional PCV system (passenger side), but does not use a vacuum
controlled valve.
The hose from the air cleaner housing is a fresh air supply hose. When the
engine is operating, fresh air enters the engine and mixes with the
crankcase
vapours. Engine vacuum draws the vapour/air mixture through the PCV valve
and
into the intake manifold where they are then burnt off during engine
combustion.
The strange part is that the '97 FSM says that this crankcase
breather/filter
is no longer used with the 2.5, 3.9 or 5.2 engines (?????).
