Bad Brakes
Comments:
---------
To whom it may concern, I am having problems with my front brakes on my
2000 Dakota. I have almost 15000 miles on the truck, and the rotors are
VERY warped. The truck vibrates badly when I apply the brakes. My local
"5 star dealer" said "sorry we can't help you, warranty expires at 12000
miles." I could see if this was a fluke that the rotors warped this soon,
but its not. This is the THIRD Dakota that I have owned, and all three of
them have had brake problems. Let me tell you all of the problems that I
have had with brakes on my Dakotas. 97 Dakota Club Cab--Right front caliper
sticking causing pad to wear. Replace both calipers(25k miles) 98 Dakota
Regular Cab--inner front brake pad worn to metal causing rotor to get bad
grooves.Replace pads and one rotor.(17k miles) 00 Dakota Club Cab Warped
rotors(15k miles) I know for a FACT that I am not the only frustrated
Dakota owner. I think that you should issue a recall or TSB for dakota
owners, so that they can get !
their brakes fixed at the expense of Daimler Chrysler. Thanks, Shawn
Villaire
