According to the latest news from DC, Tom Gale, made mentioned about the
upcoming Viper GTS-R will indeed hit the street with 99 percent of the
concept design for 2003 production. To include the new 500HP and 500lb of
Torque V-10 motor. However, the price will jump slightly from the current
GEN II Viper. Hmm! Is there a GTS-R Viper in my garage yet? This is a
serious temptation now.
Update on the Charger will be close to the concept as possible with
exception of the four-door version. They will release the two-door model
first but the strange thing was mentioned about a 24-volt power
system...why? It will have three engine options to choose from; a 3.5 V-6
(300M version), 4.7 HO, and the R/T will receive the 5.7 Hemi. The pricing
will start around 24 to 36K.
The new Dakota will receive a newer V-6 power plant and produce a whooping
230Hp over the current version. It supposes to be the same motor as the
2001 Dodge minivan. The design is taken from the 4.7L and much lighter
thanks to a lot of aluminum rework, ceramics, and plastics material was
used. Where the HP rating on the 4.7 for the 2003 Dakota? No mentioned as
of yet. Maybe the will get the 4.7 HO version; 329HP rating with 380lb of
Torque.
The new Ram truck suspension will completely be changed front and back.
Running a straight axle and independent suspension. Hmm! In addition, the
new line of motors for the Ram is the new 6.1 Hemi motor. Which by the way
will be largest gas motor in its class, if compared to the Chevy 6.0. Not
to forget the 5.7 hemi will also be in the Ram line for engine selection and
the V-10 diesel motor.
