Gen II radio upgrade

Hi all,

Just thought I would let some of you Gen 1-2'ers what I found out this
weekend... I took the interior side panels off this weekend because I was
going to have a sliding window installed on my 91. Since the truck was a
strip-o special it does not have rear speakers. I had hoped Chrysler left
the wiring there but of course it was not there... With it little deductive
reasoning I figured out that the connector I need to tap into was a grey
looks like 10 pin connector above the drivers feet. The speaker connections
are the out side pins.... Two on the outmost right are for the left speakers
and the two on the outmost left are for the right rear speaker. I had
another wiring harness that I save from a Lancer and with a little cutting
and splicing I now have rear speakers.... BTW (IMPORTANT) to make this work
you need to remove you radio from the dash and remove the 4 to 2 jumper lead
from the backside of the radio. Chrysler does this to elimate the rear
speaker fade from the 2 speaker system... Just pull the jumper out and plug
the connector into the back of the radio....

Good luck and if you need help let me know,
Tim
