Because here in Austin, it's not .05 difference between 87 and 91+ octane.
It's more like 25-50 cents. With the stock computer, my truck runs best on
87 octane. With 89 or higher I had less power and lower mileage. Why not
spen $10.00 on plugs instead of $5.00 or more per tank for the rest of the
life of the truck if the outcome is exactly the same, ie no ping?
