Well, when you walk in to have the PCM flashed with your mileage and
VIN, they'll figure it out (or can, very easily, from the VIN alone).
On the slightly more serious side, it would be possible, assuming that
the "normal" computer in a 4x4 is the same as in a 4x2. I imagine
there's a couple differences. For example, auto transmission shifting
is probably "tweaked" when you're in 4Lo, maybe even in 4Hi.
