It may sound strange but, if it is an old truck try to
trade it in with the dealer - it is easier and the
dollar difference from trying to sell it privately
ususaly isn't worth the hassle. This is why I try to
hold onto my cars as long as possiable & then trade it
in. I got a great trade in price from Saturn $3,500
on a 89? Hundai in '93 - cost me $6,000 - 50,000 -
60,000 miles on it-. They don't hagle on the price
but give good trade in money.
They put it on the used car lot for 7,000
Of course the first thing you should do is negociate a
good deal with the dealer before you say you want to
trade in your truck. Otherwise they will jack up the
new truck price to give you more on the trade in.
If it is a new truck the dollar difference may be
worth your time trying to sell it privatly. The
dealer needs a to make a profit between what he gives
you and what the market price is for your truck.
Good luck
