>>1. Are the electrical connections to the A-518 the same as the NV-3500?
(IE
can I use the same engine wiring harness?)<<

gooooood question!! I know that there is a vehicle speed sensor plugged
into the autos, and from what I've read it is there on the manuals also.
The only problem I see is with the wiring for OD. It will be there on the
auto truck, but not on the manual truck. I think both of the harnesses I
got are Auto harnesses....

>>2. I need a shifter. I can either replace the steering column for the
column
shifter, or I can get a really nice console mount. I want the console
mount,
but I can't seem to find any for anything other than a non-od tranny (727
or
the 904). What should I use?!?<<

didn't someone on the list convert to a floor shifter? I'm about positive
that the A518 is just a 727 w/OD. You could probably use a floor shifter
kit for that, then run the OD button onto the dash like Auto daks have
from the factory.

>>3. I looked on the van wiring harness and found a button for overdrive.
This
scares me. I really don't feel like trying to splice anything. Is this
thing
needed for OD? I sure hope not, cuz if it is and I gotta splice, I'm
running
back to that manual pretty quickly!!<<

My Dad's 88 Ram doesn't have an OD kill button. I don't see why you
wouldn't be able to bypass it, but it'll piss you off when your racin'
and that b*tch hits OD at 50 (been there)
