You sure went through alot of trouble, didn't ya? The truth of the matter is,
I don't think you can do anything about it. Alot of guys (including myself)
have had problems with those engines, on both sides. I put a K&N FIPK in and
I got the popping noise when I decellerated. I put exaust on and got the
popping out the other end, too. As for the funny idle and poor power, try
regapping the plugs at .035.
